Monday morning, bright and early, 30 students from Central Square High School will get on a bus and head to the presidential inauguration. It’s part of their AP Government and Politics class.  The classes have been following the election process closely this year and are excited to see the inauguration of America’s first black president first hand.

Teachers are, also, excited to see this historic event take place. They know their students will really appreciate the event because they have been learning about it since September.  Students in the class say this is the first election they have really paid attention to, and will be something they can tell their kids about in the future.

The trip is being paid for by the students because there was little time for fundraising. While the students are down in Washington, they are also hoping to take in a little bit of sight seeing.
