The man accused in a drunk driving crash that killed a Liverpool teen last April will be in court next month. The family of Samantha Reynolds told Action News that Raphael Gonzalez will plead guilty on March 9th to four counts of DUI in the death of Samantha and the serious injury to her step-mother, Brenda. That is according to an email they received from authorities in South Carolina.
In April of last year, the family was heading to Disney World in Florida for a vacation.They never made it. Investigators say Gonzalez was driving his car the wrong way on a South Carolina highway when it hit the Reynolds’ family van.
Gonzalez could face 70 years behind bars when he is sentenced on March 13th in South Carolina.
