Onondaga County Executive, Joanie Mahoney, is excited to welcome fans of the Dave Matthews Band this summer. Dave is coming to Alliance Bank Stadium on August 4th.
Mahoney says the county is working on details of a financial agreement that will split concert revenue with the Syracuse Chiefs ball club. She expects a big ripple effect of money into the community related to the concert. She, also, says she hopes the concert the Dave Matthews Band will perform at Alliance Bank stadium will be the first of many performances there.
Mahoney said there were problems between the Chiefs and the county related to utility bills, but those issues have been sorted out.
The concert will be the first one at the stadium since 2000.
