SYRACUSE -- Police have released a surveillance photo of the man who robbed the Byrne Dairy store on West Genesee Street Sunday morning.
Investigators say the suspect entered the store around 8:45 AM and acted like he was carrying a weapon. Police say he demanded money from the store clerk, then took off on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and grocery items, including cigarettes, potato chips, and egg nog. The suspect did not display a gun.
Police say the suspect is a black male in his 40s, standing about 6’0" tall and weighing about 250 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with red or orange lining, black knit hat, black shirt with white lettering, and blue jeans.
The suspect was last seen running from the store, down North Lowell Avenue.
