CAMDEN -- A student at Camden High School has been arrested for making false bomb threats last month.
According to the Oneida County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrested a 15-year-old male on Wednesday and charged him with multiple felony counts of falsely reporting an incident in the second degree. The student, whose name has not been released because of his age, is accused of making multiple bomb threats while in school prior to the holiday vacation.
Investigators say they were able to narrow down the suspects by using the school’s video surveillance system, and then interviewed the accused who admitted to writing the threatening notes. Police say the student did not actually plan to carry out any threats, he was just looking to get a recation to them.
We are told that the suspect will appear in Oneida County Juvenile Probation court at a later date to answer the charges.
