WICHITA, KANSAS (AP) -- A man who says he killed a Kansas abortion provider to protect unborn children has been convicted of murdering the doctor.
A jury in Wichita deliberated for just 37 minutes before finding Scott Roeder guilty of premeditated, first-degree murder in the death of Dr. George Tiller.
Roeder faces a mandatory sentence of life imprisonment. He could be paroled in 25 years.
