TOWN OF CLAY -- A Pennellville man was killed in a single car crash late Saturday night. The Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department says that 21 year old Brent Varney was traveling north on Morgan Road in the Town of Clay when his SUV drifted into the southbound lane. The SUV went off the road and crashed into a utility pole at the intersection of Oak Orchard Road.

A passing motorist discovered the wreck and called police. Varney was taken to Upstate University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The crash cause of the crash is still under investigation.
