ONONDAGA COUNTY -- It took more than 40 years, but now Larry Dobson of Baldwinsville finally has a Purple Heart for Vietnam. Dobson was a nineteen year old soldier with the 82nd Airborne when a truck he was riding in hit a landmine. Dobson spent months recovering from his wounds.  He recovered but his medal never came. CBS 5's Brandon Roth says it finally happened thanks to the work of his wife and Senator Chuck Schumer.

Every weeknight on CBS 5 News at 6, Anchor & Managing Editor Michael Benny invites a reporter on the set for a debrief on one of the important stories covered that day.  The debrief is an unscripted conversation allowing the reporter a unique venue to explain who they talked to and the answers they got on the story they covered that day.  Click the video link to watch the latest debrief, and watch it live every weekday on CBS 5 News at 6.
