The scathing report on how the state fair was run for a decade arrived to state prosecutors at the same time everyone else saw it.  State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo says he’s looking at it, but a decision on any criminal charges will take at least a couple of weeks.

Cuomo was in Syracuse Wednesday afternoon to talk up an industry-wide investigation into predatory health care lending where consumers are misled about financing, causing them to go into debt.  But the state’s top prosecutor took a lot of questions about the investigation into former state fair director Peter Cappuccilli.  It is Cuomo who will decide if Cappuccilli will face any criminal charges for the blistering state report which found he used his tenure as head of the fair for his own personal gain.
