LAURENS, OTSEGO CO. -- UPDATE:
State Police say that on Monday around noon Layman was found by a search team in a heavily wooded area about half a mile from her residence.
Police say she was alert and responsive, and transported to Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, where she is listed in serious condition.
State police need your help finding an elderly woman with Alzheimer's disease who wandered away from her Otsego County home.
Troopers say Clary "Dolly" Layman, 73, left her home at 439 Mather Road in the Town of Laurens to go for a walk. That was around 4:30pm Saturday afternoon. She hasn't been seen or heard from since.
Layman was last seen wearing a red shirt, sweatpants, white sneakers and possibly a black and white windbreaker.
She is 5'4", weighs about 110 pounds and has gray/blonde hair.
