Adam Richman at the State Fair last Saturday
SYRACUSE -- Have you ever thought about trying to take down a six pound frittata? Tonight, Adam Richman, host of "Man v. Food," will do just that.
Syracuse will be in the spotlight tonight as Richman showcases three local eateries. He recently visited Dinosaur BBQ, Heid's in Liverpool and Mother's Cupboard in Eastwood. They will all be featured in tonight's episode at 9 p.m. on the Travel Channel.
Richman is a self-prescribed food fanatic with a tremendous appetite. He travels across the country to take on the most legendary food challenges.
At Dinosaur BBQ, Richman gets a true taste of what Syracuse BBQ has to offer with the Pork-Sket. He describes it as the "United Nations of BBQ," complete with both beef brisket and layers of juicy pork.
Taking down those famous Heid's hot dogs is Richman's next stop, where he teams up with Syracuse University head basketball coach Jim Boeheim.

At his final stop, he faces the frittata face-off during the Frittata Challenge at Mother's Cupboard. Thousands of people have attempted this challenge over three decades and 95 percent of people have failed to take down the six pound platter. It's filled with eggs, pepperoni, sausage, vegetables and home fries. We'll see how Richman does.
Again, you can watch the episode on the Travel Channel tonight at 9 p.m.
