SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police are investigating an accident that sent one man to the hospital.

Officers say a PT Cruiser was heading south on Thompson Road when it hit a bicyclist at the intersection with Burnet Avenue. Police say it looks like the driver, 48-year-old Sharon White of Schenectady, had the right of way, but they are still investigation.

The bicyclist, 44-year-old Michael Wallingford of Syracuse, was seriously injured, but he is expected to recover. No one in the car was hurt.

So far no tickets have been issued.
