One close race has finally been decided.

Assemblyman Al Stirpe confirms tonight that he has conceded the 121st Assembly District race to his Republican opponent Don Miller.

Stirpe says he congratulated Miller Thursday when the count of absentee ballots showed there "wasn't enough votes" to turn the race in his favor. Atirpe said he wished Miller "good luck" because he's facing "another tough couple of years."

Looking back on his two terms in office, Stirpe said, "We got a lot done in 4 years...a lot of buildings with people working in them."

As for the future, Stirpe said he doesn't know what it holds for him. Right now, the Assemblyman is recuperating from recent surgery.
