MATTYDALE -- Hundreds of people came for a prayer vigil at St.Margaret's Church in Mattydale Wednesday for Jenni-Lyn Watson. Watson vanished on Friday and has been the subject of a massive manhunt.
This time of year, around Thanksgiving, is when Jenni-Lyn and her family normally buy their Christmas ornaments and put up the tree. Instead her family and friends were at the prayer vigil, praying for her safe return. Cameras were not allowed inside the church where it was standing room only. People prayed for Jenni-Lyn's family, those who are out searching for her, and that Jenni-Lyn will return home safely.
The 20 year old came home to Liverpool last week for Thanksgiving break. She is a junior at Mercyhurst College in Pennsylvania which also had a prayer service at the same time. Among those who came out to St. Margaret's were former classmates at Liverpool High school and people she used to dance with.
"If there's anything you can do, it's pray together and hope everything comes back the way we'd like," said Sue Targaglia, a family friend.
People who attended people took more posters to get out the word. A family spokesperson says words cannot express how grateful they are for the effort to get her picture out.
