DUNDEE (AP) -- A phony bomb threat called in at a central New York school has a 14-year-old in hot water.
The Yates County Sheriff's Office says the teen was charged with a felony Thursday after investigators traced the threat to the teen. The teen, whose name and gender weren't released, was referred to family court.
When the threat was called in, state police and the Ontario County Sheriff's Department sent bomb-sniffing dogs to Dundee Central School, about 55 miles southwest of Syracuse.
Dundee Central School has had a number of bomb threats this year. In March, a series of bomb threats by text message and by hand-written notes resulted in an increase in security measures at the school.
