SYRACUSE (AP) -- A Utica man was ordered to pay back the $18,000 the federal government spent cleaning up asbestos he illegally dumped in a Herkimer County field.
But the judge said 46-year-old Paul Mancuso won't have to give any money to two other victims of his conspiracy to cover-up illegal asbestos removal operations.
Mancuso is serving 6 1/2 years in federal prison for an illegal asbestos conspiracy that also involved his brother, Steven Mancuso, and father, Lester Mancuso. The brother and father are each serving about three years in prison.
