Repairs taking longer than expected
SYRACUSE -- A stretch of East Seneca Turnpike remains closed because of a gas line break.
The road, between Brighton Avenue and Monticello Drive in Syracuse was shut down last night after police responded to the report of a gas line break at about five o'clock.
National Grid tells us the work is taking longer than expected, but hopes to have it done by 10am. Crews are standing by to help the 25 homes affected by the leak re-light pilot lights and ensure all is safe, after the leak is repaired and the road is re-opened.
