DEXTER, JEFFERSON CO. -- A North Country man is under arrest after police say he had inappropriate sexual contact with a young girl.
According to State Police in Watertown, Troopers arrested 40-year-old Roy A. Watts, Jr. of County Route 59 in Dexter on one count of second degree sexual abuse, one count of forcible touching, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. All charges are misdemeanors. Police say Watts subjected a 12-year-old female to sexual contact on multiple occasions from November 2010 through earlier this month.
Watts was arraigned in the Town of Brownville Court and remanded to the Jefferson County jail on $500 bail, pending further court action.
