AUBURN (AP) -- A 50-year-old central New York man is going to prison for stealing cable TV service.

Andrew Vibbert of Auburn apologized in Cayuga County Court on Tuesday for posing as another man to sign up for Time Warner Cable service. He pleaded guilty to felony identity theft in December and was ordered to pay a thousand dollars in restitution for a year's cable service, including pay-per-view adult movies.

Cayuga County Assistant District Attorney Rome Canzano said Vibbert deserved to go to prison because of his 25-year history of similar crimes. Vibbert was sentenced Tuesday to two to four years behind bars.
