There is a reason why restaurants love Valentine's Day.
"It's one of the best nights in the restaurant industry," said Brian Dimartino, manager at Pascale.
Reservations have been booked for two weeks at Pascale in Fayetteville. Tonight, tables are filled with couples celebrating their love.
"We try to go out, stick the kids with Grandma and just have some time for ourselves," said Lynn Gibson. "We work together, raise children together so we need to just have some time to ourselves to regroup, and get to know eachother," she said.
"I love my wife very much, and this is one of the great occassions to show her my love," said Eric Gibson.
That romance helps restaurant's bottom line. The National Restaurant Association expected 70 million Americans to go out this year. It's now the second most popular holiday to dine out behind mothers day. And because Valentine's Day fell on a monday this year, restaurants say they've seen steady business throughout the weekend.
"Yesterday was just as busy as tonight," said Dimartino. "When it falls on a monday, it's three days of valentines - Saturday, Sunday and Monday."
Tonight, many restaurants were catering to Cupid and serving up something special for the sweethearts. Pascale offered a lobster dinner, and heart shaped desserts.
"We like Valentine's day just as much as everyone else, we all work hard and we want to make everyone feel special. This is just one easy way to do it," said Dimartino.
