REMSEN -- A Remsen woman and 11 young people are facing charges in an underage drinking party bust. State police arrested Paulette Broomfield, 38, along with nearly a dozen people under 21 at a home on Cookingham Road this morning. Police say they went to the home and found an underage drinking party underway.
Broomfield is charged with unlawful dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana. Among the young people arrested were: Alexis M. Broomfield, 16, Joseph Baker, 17, Travis Wickham, 19, Sean Nicolosi, 18, David Barrett, 18, Trevor Hughes, 20, Nathaniel Pirnie, 17, Marissa Parent, 17, William Plete, 16, Christopher Smith, 18 and Gregory Day, 17.
They were all issued appearance tickets and are due back in the Town of Remsen court on March 1st.
