CAPE VINCENT -- Two men are facing charges of attempted robbery following a incident at a Cape Vincent business on Sunday night.

State police report one man entered the Cape Dairy store on Broadway in Cape Vincent about 8:30 on Sunday evening with what appeared to be a handgun. The man struck the clerk before leaving the store without any money or merchandise. A second man was outside in a car and drove the first suspect away from the scene.

Troopers arrested 30-year-old Shane M. Jackson of East Broadway in Cape Vincent and 36-year-old Jason A. Sorbello of Huff Road in Cape Vincent and charged them with attempted robbery in the first degree.

Both men were arraigned in the Town of Watertown Court. Jackson is being held without bail, and bail was set at $25,000 for Sorbello.
