SYRACUSE -- Was anyone actually surprised when Friday night's Syracuse/Connecticut game went into overtime? After all, the only thing SU fans were talking about before this most recent showdown, was the six overtime thriller in the Big East Tournament two years ago.
When Scoop Jardine's last second three pointer sent the 2011 Big East Semifinal into overtime -- it was like deja vu for Orange fans. Many packed into Tully's on Erie Boulevard to watch the game. The restaurant erupted when Scoop's shot went in. But that exhilaration quickly turned to disappointment -- as UConn took control in the extra session, sending the Orange packing a day earlier than the team would have wanted.
It's sweet revenge for the Huskies, who will play either Notre Dame or Louisville in the Big East Championship.
Now, Syracuse turns to Selection Sunday and the NCAA Tournament. What seed do you think the Orange will get.
