Syracuse Police are investigating two late night shootings.

The first occurred shortly after 10:30 P.M. Police say shots were fired in the parking lot of the Middle Eastern Market on 1919 S. State St.

Witnesses say two suspects were firing shots at each other amidst a large crowd in the parking lot.

Police say no one was hit but a 1996 Honda Accord was struck several times by gunfire.

Police describe the two suspects as black males who were wearing dark hooded sweatshirts, blue jeans and black winter hats at the time of the shooting.

The second shooting happened just before 1 A.M. at the Food King Market on 500 Oakwood Ave.

Police say 22 year-old Jaycee Floyd was shot in the foot as he was leaving the market and took himself to University Hospital.

Authorities say Floyd could not identify the shooter.

Anyone with information about either of these shootings is asked to call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
