A Warners man pleaded guilty Monday to predatory sexual assault against a child. Connor Izard, 27, of Victory Lane, appeared before Judge Joseph Fahey in Onondaga County Court.
Police say Izard started chatting with a 12-year-old girl online, then asked to meet her even though he knew she was underage. The victim told police Izard drove to her neighborhood to pick her up, took her to an isolated location and subjected her to sexual activity.
Izard is registered sex offender and was already on probation for having sexual contact with a 16-year-old girl in 2005. That girl was the subject of a nationwide Amber Alert at the time, because investigators thought she had been kidnapped from her Geneva home. Instead, she and Izard were found at the Knights Inn in the Town of Salina, where the girl reportedly went there willingly.
On the new charges, Izard is scheduled to be sentenced on April 11th.
