Volunteers needed for Seneca Falls project
Habitat for Humanity of Seneca County has broken ground on a home for a single mother and her two daughters.
The three bedroom, energy efficient home is alo unique in that it's builders will be 75% women.
Sandy Ferrara, with Habitat, says the new owners are putting in 'sweat equity', but more volunteers are needed to get the project done by August. Work days are Saturdays 7:45am - 3:30pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays 4 - 7:30pm.
The project is also still fundraising, with $45,000 still needed. Major sponsor Lowe's has a WomenBuild tool kit going on sale April 18, to benefit the project.
