13th annual effort on April 28th
The YWCA's day of workshops and information is aimed at overcoming stereotypes and encouraging understanding in the Central New York Community.
Joan Durant, executive director of the YWCA of Syracuse and Onondaga County, says she's surprised that the effort has been going on 13 years, and still has more to go. Durant says the influx of refugees, and of Latinos into Central New York, keep the workplace and social concerns in focus.
This year's Day of Diversity is April 28th, at the Holiday Inn Electronics Parkway. Our Jackie Robinson, among this year's class to be inducted into the YWCA Academy of Diversity Achievers at the luncheon, which will follow a morning of diversity workshops.
