SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police are investigating an overnight stabbing.
It happened around 2:45 a.m. along the 700 block of Pond Street.
Police say 27-year-old Roosevelt Mitchell, of Syracuse, was stabbed in the chest during a fight with a black man he only knows by a nickname. Detectives are following leads as they try to identify the suspect.
Mitchell was taken to Upstate Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
