EATON, MADISON CO. -- A Madison County man is under arrest, after police say he has been accused of rape.

According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, investigators arrested 22-year-old Matthew C. Percoski of Altamont, New York Tuesday and charged him with one count of felony first degree rape, and one count of felony first degree sexual abuse. Police say the incident took place on March 9 in the Town of Eaton.

Percoski is a student at SUNY Morrisville, but police say the alleged incident did not occur on campus. Police did not specify if the victim was a student.

Percoski was arraigned Tuesday afternoon and is currently being in the Madison County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $15,000 bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court on May 5.
