ITHACA -- A Cornell University student is recovering after falling from a third story building.

23-year-old Michael Battista, of Morristown, New Jersey, was released from a Pennsylvania hospital on Sunday after falling from the building along the 600 block of East Seneca Street around 7:40 p.m. last Friday night.

Ithaca police say Battista fell out of the third story and was taken by helicopter to a trauma center in Pennsylvania.

Police say there's no evidence of any criminal activity surrounding the fall.
