PLATTSBURGH -- A Saranac Lake man admits he sexually assaulted a 3-year-old girl and videotaped it.
26-year-old Aaron Martinez pleaded guilty in Federal court to production of child pornography.
Martinez admits he sexually assaulted the little girl back in May of last year and used a Flip videocamera to record it.
Martinez faces 15 to 30 years in prison and at least 5 years of supervised release. He will also have to register as a sex offender.
Investigators said the child's parents contacted Plattsburgh police after they discovered explicit pornographic images on their home computer showing their four-year-old and Martinez, who had spent the night at their house. Police later found videos on the camera at Martinez's home.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Daniel Gardner says Martinez remains jailed without bail. He's scheduled to be sentenced September 25, and also faces state charges.
