Syracuse teen charged in Kirk Park stabbing

SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse teenager is under arrest, accused of stabbing another teen in the leg.

Syracuse Police say it happened shortly after 6:30 Thursday night at Kirk Park on Kirk Avenue. The victim, Tony Comer, 16, says he was at the park when he had a fight with another teen. Police say Jaquail Lewis, 16, stabbed Comer in the leg and fled the scene.

Comer was transported to Upstate Hospital. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Lewis is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned in Syracuse City Court on Friday.
