If you're looking for something to do this weekend, here are some suggestions:
>Apple Blossoms!  Delayed by the weather, but the apple orchards in LaFayette are in bloom this weekend---drive Rte. 20 west, up Lord's Hill for the view---and go to the apple-picking area at Beak & Skiff, on Rte 80, for their open house/100th anniversary celebration on Saturday, 10am - 5pm.
>Downtown Living Tour:  Syracuse's downtown shows off its apartments and workplaces, too.  The open houses are noon - 6pm (the Cathedral, on Columbus Circle, offers live music, open 12 - 4)--tickets for the tour are at stop 1, Dey's Plaza on South Salina St.  A shuttle wil take you if you don't want to walk.
>Kayak Day:  (This is actually SUNDAY!)..Beaver Lake has a display of the boats, and accessories.  10 - 5, with park admission.
>Aviation Day: Griffiss International Airport is open, 9 - 5 with lots of big planes, military and commercial, on the ground, hot air balloons and fly-overs.  Activities for kids, too
