Despite the pain at the pump, millions of drivers are still filling up for Memorial Day.
According to AAA, 60% of Memorial Day travelers say gas prices don't have an impact on their plans. But others are saving cash by staying closer to home or cutting back on other expenses to afford their trips.
"We usually go camping out of town," said Brian Hammond. "But with prices we try to accommodate what funds we have.--->
"Just costs me a lot of money," said Robert Spoto. "I'm cutting back, I don't drive as much as I used too."
35 million Americans are expected to travel this weekend, and 31 million will go by car, according to AAA. If you're looking for the best deals while on the road there's an app for that. Gas Buddy is one of the many that will tell you where to find the cheapest fuel right on your smart phone.
"We haven't done any travelling, prices are high but we'll go anyway," said Brad Casler.
You won't get off the ground without paying more too, airfares are 14% higher this year. Still, the number of flyers is up from last Memorial Day.
