ROME, ONEIDA CO. -- A Rome man is recovering from a hit and run accident.

Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say 20-year-old Michael Beasock was walking on the shoulder of Rome-Taberg Road around 11:25 p.m. Monday when he was hit by a car. But deputies say the driver didn't stop.

Beasock was taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Utica and treated for severe, but non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect vehicle is of unknown make, model or color, but is missing its passenger side mirror. The vehicle should also have a broken passenger side window and possible damage to its windshield near the passenger's side.

Anyone with information should call investigators at (315) 765-2734.
