SULLIVAN, MADISON COUNTY -- Michelle Seef says she still can't believe her home is gone.

It's been in her family for three generations, and the deed on the home dates back to 1801.  Early Wednesday morning, a fire completely destroyed her Sullivan home, leaving her family homeless.

"It means everything to my family," she said.  "This is our homestead, it's just everything."

Michelle, her husband and daughter got out safely.  Sadly, the family's dog died in the fire.  Thursday, Michelle combed through what's left of her home to salvage any belongings, but could only think of all the memories she shared inside the home with her family.

"(I remember) every anniversary, every birthday, every Sunday dinner, my grandchildren running across the floors...it's just hard," she said.

Now the rebuilding process begins, with help from the community.  Michelle said the outpouring of support has been incredible, with complete strangers lending a helping hand.

If you'd like to help, a fund has been set up.  The information is below.
