SYRACUSE -- The City of Syracuse is getting ready to celebrate Independence Day. This year, the celebration is again at the Inner Harbor with plenty of fun, food, and fireworks on July 1st.

The Stan Colella Orchestra will perform on the Main Stage from 8PM until 9:30PM. The Parks and Recreation Department's All-Star Band, sponsored by Price Chopper, will perform at 6PM, followed by the Drum and Bugle Corps.

The festivities include face painting, inflatable toys, a juggler, a stilt walker, a magician, a balloon sculptor and more.

If you want to catch the fireworks display, that starts at 9:30PM.

The City of Syracuse is inviting boaters to enjoy the Independence Day celebration. Boats can enter and moor at the Harbor area until 8:30PM, but must stay moored until 10:30PM.

Admission is free.

For more information, contact the City's Department of Parks, Recreation and Youth Programs at 473-4330, ext. 3006.
