SYRACUSE -- Several downtown Syracuse buildings have no water due to a small water main break this morning.

City Water Commissioner Deborah Somers tells CNY Central it happened this morning at the corner of State and Fayette Streets. She says the broken 8-inch water line is to blame for no water to several buildings from State Street to Montgomery Street.

The buildings affected include One Park Place, the Hills Buildings, a parking garage and a few smaller buildings.

Crews hope to have it fixed sometime this afternoon.
