BALDWINSVILLE -- An Onondaga County man is under arrest after police say he fired a gun during a dispute over money.
According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to 8277 Dexter Parkway in the Town of Lysander just after noon for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, deputies day they learned that an argument had taken place between 43-year-old Christopher Floriack of the same address and 43-year-old Jeff Emmons of Baldwinsville over alleged money owed.
Floriack is accused of pointing a loaded .22 caliber rifle at Emmons, and then firing two shots into the ground. Police say the argument then turned into a fight, and another shot was discharged. Emmons then left Floriack’s property.
Floriack is charged with one count of felony second degree criminal possession of a weapon, one count of felony first degree reckless endangerment, two counts of misdemeanor second reckless endangerment, and one count of misdemeanor second degree menacing. He was arraigned in the Town of Lysander Court and taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center on $50,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court on July 18.
Police say no one was injured and property was not damaged during the incident.
