HOMER -- Police are still looking information after a hit-and-run crash injured a mother and her three kids Monday morning, and are asking the public for help with the case.
Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies tell CNY Central that just before 9:00 a.m. Monday 32-year-old Lisa Duvall of Tully was stopped on the shoulder of Route 11 in the Town of Homer with her hazard lights on. She had pulled over to attend to one of her kids in the middle row of her 2002 Chrysler Voyager minivan. Police say that’s when a 1992 Honda Accord crashed into the rear of the van, and also hit Duvall. The driver then got out of his car and ran away, headed south on the railroad tracks toward the Village of Homer.
Police say Duvall and her three children - a 17-year-old daughter, and 12 and 7-year-old sons - suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and were taken by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
A passenger in the car, 22-year-old Justin Strine of Marietta, was injured in the crash and also taken to University Hospital. His injuries are also not life threatening.
