SENECA FALLS -- Two Seneca Falls teenagers are accused of stealing a parent's car and taking it on a joy ride.

Seneca Falls police arrested 14 and 15-year-old boys and charged them with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police say they were investigating a complaint of suspicious persons on Washington Street when they found the boys inside a garage on East Bayard Street.

Police say they had taken a parent's vehicle for a joy ride. While driving, police say, one of the boys lost control, slamming into a fire hydrant on Washington Street. Police say the boys then took off.

Their names are not being released because of their age. They are scheduled to appear at the Seneca County Probation Department on August 22nd.

What should their punishment be? Leave your thoughts below.
