Info display in Fair's Hall of Health
State fairgoers are being urged to check their organ donation status. The 'Donate Life' booth in the Hall of Health (behind Time Warner Cable, off Miller Court) has the information and consent forms, or information on how to become a donor online.
Paul Marron, with the CNY Eye and Tissue Bank, says lots of people think that they're set because they've checked off the donor box on their driver's license, but they also need to do a consent form.
At the State Fair booth they also talk about the myths--and fears--of organ donation. And, about the need for donations: the lists of people waiting for transplants continues to grow.
