SYRACUSE -- We have some sporting event-related programming changes to announce for this week.
On Monday night, the New York Giants and New York Jets face off in their annual preseason NFL game. This game was originally scheduled to take place last Saturday, but was postponed because of Hurricane Irene. That game is now scheduled to kickoff at 7:00 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and will be carried live on WSTQ-CW6 in Syracuse. Becausde of the game, "Gossip Girl" will now be shown this Saturday at 8:00 p.m., and "One Tree Hill" will air immediately after at 9:00 p.m.
On Tuesday night, the New York Yankees visit the Boston Red Sox for game one of a mid-week set. Coverage starts at 7:00 p.m. on WSTM NBC3. Because of this game, “It’s Worth What?” will instead be shown on Saturday at 7:00 on CW6. “America’s Got Talent” will be joined in progress upon the conclusion of the Yankees game, and will also be shown live in its entirety on CNY Central TV, which is channel 864 on Time Warner Cable or digital channel 3.3 over the air.
Finally, the Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions game scheduled Thursday, September 1 is not a sellout and will be blacked out due to NFL television rules. WTVH CBS 5 will not be able to air the game live, and will instead show it on Friday, September 2 from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. All Thursday evening programming on CBS5 will go back to its regular schedule, and shows scheduled for Friday night will air as follows.
48 Hours – Friday, September 2, 1:30 – 2:30 a.m.
CSI: NY – Friday, September 2, 2:30 – 3:30 a.m.
Blue Bloods: Saturday, September 3 – 12:30 – 1:30 a.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience these programming changes may cause.
