Dairy day focuses on NY's big agricultural industry
GEDDES -- On this dairy day, there's lots of 'moo' at the Fair: people handing out chocolate milk and cheese samples, the milk shake contest (won by CNY Central!) and celebrity cow milking, too.
We were joined by several NY Dairy Princesses at noon---and one cow. ' Bailey' is a four year old Holstein, but she's red and white, not the 'traditional' black and white. Her owner, Chelsea Jones from Cortland County, says she's milked twice a day and gives 80 pounds of milk, which translates into 10 gallons of milk...a day!
