OSWEGO -- A former New York State Parks Police officer accused of exposing himself in Oswego earlier this year has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge.
Anthony Vidal pleaded guilty to third degree sexual abuse in Oswego City Court on September 13th. He was originally charged with a felony after Christina Huff filed a complaint that he had disrobed inside her beauty shop on April 9th and forced her to touch his buttocks.
In a statement to police, Vidal claimed he was a body builder and was showing off his physique.
Vidal will be sentenced on November 15th and could receive up to six months in jail. After his arrest in April, the State Parks Police Department suspended Vidal without pay. A spokesman says Vidal officially resigned from the department on June 21st.
