CORTLANDVILLE, CORTLAND CO. -- A man is accused of grabbing a woman by the throat until she couldn't breath. It happened around Tuesday in Cortlandville.
Cortland County Sheriff's deputies were called to the domestic dispute on South Hill Road around 5 p.m.
Deputies say a man and woman were arguing in the street, when the man grabbed her by the throat, making her unable to breath and wouldn't let her out of the car they were traveling in. Deputies say they had pulled over at the time of the incident. The victim was able to get free and flagged down a passerby.
Robert Miller was arrested and charged with strangulation, reckless endangerment and unlawful imprisonment. He was taken to Cortlandville Town Court and sent to the Cortland County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 bail bond.
