WILLIAMSTOWN, OSWEGO CO. -- An Altmar man is accused of running a methamphetamine lab in Williamstown.

25-year-old Robert Christensen, of 581 CC Road, is charged with criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine and criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies received information Sunday about a possible meth lab. They then obtained a search warrant at Christensen's home. That's where they say they found items commonly used in the manufacturing of meth.

The Williamstown Fire Department and Department of Environmental Conservation were called to dismantle the lab and make sure the scene was safe.

Christensen was arraigned in Williamstown Town Court and sent to the Oswego County Jail in lieu of $500 cash or $1,000 bond. He's due back in court on November 1.
