UTICA -- A Utica teen is accused of choking the mother of his ex-girlfriend.
Utica Police say that Billie Jo Shaver, 18, allegedly went to his ex-girlfriend’s house on Stark Street on Sunday. The former couple had an argument over their recent breakup.
According to police, the mother of the 17-year-old girl intervened in the argument when she feared it may turn violent.
Police say that Shaver is accused of then putting his hands around his ex-girlfriend’s mother and choking her.
Shaver was arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment.
