ONONDAGA COUNTY -- Four men are facing charges after investigators say they used Craigslist to find places to break into.

The Onondaga County Sheriff's Department says Eliecel Guerra, 21, Quincy Moore, 31, Luis Ramos-Carrasquillo, 20, and a 16-year-old, all of Syracuse, were arrested after what deputies describe as a "short burglary spree."

The four suspects were arrested Tuesday morning when deputies say they were caught running away from an outdoor shed they had just broken into on the 5200 block of Kasson Road in Onondaga. They are also accused of trying to break into a garage on the 100 block of Henderson Boulevard in Van Buren, and damaging a trailer and enclosed porch on the 600 block of Beverly Drive in Fairmount.

Investigators say this should serve as a warning for those using Craigslist to not disclose too much personal information on the site.  "It's of course very difficult to sell something if you're not willing to let someone come look at where it is, but if the item is small enough you may want to consider meeting in a neutral place. And again be cautious," said Sheriff Kevin Walsh.

In each case, investigators say the suspects were targeting houses with ATVs. Deputies say they searched Craiglist for people selling ATVs, then responded to the ads to get the addresses.

Deputies say all the incidents took place between 11:00pm Monday and 4:15am Tuesday.

All four suspects are facing several charges, including burglary, attempted burglary, and attempted grand larceny. They were all arraigned in Town of Geddes Court and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center.
