GUILFORD, CHENANGO CO. -- Two people are facing charges in an investigation into an underage drinking party in Chenango County.
27-year-old Eric Wilcox and 31-year-old Bobbi-Joe Nye, both of Guilford, are charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child.
Chenango County Sheriff's deputies say 911 dispatchers were tipped off to the underage drinking party at a home in the Town of Guilford. Deputies say a 17-year-old girl had called her mother, saying she was drunk and wanted to be picked up because there was a fight going on.
Deputies say Wilcox and Nye provided alcohol to a 17-year-old boy, a 17-year-old girl and a 13-year-old girl. They were both issued appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear in Guilford Town Court on November 1.
The two 17-year-olds from Laurens and the 13-year-old from New Berlin were all issued appearance tickets for possession of an alcoholic beverage while under the age of 21. They're scheduled to appear in Guilford Town Court at a later date.
